How much do you really know about your colleagues? This month, we're getting the lowdown on two new recruits. Hope Stagner, Daily Active Officer, and Ryan Speight, Project Coordinator.
Would you like to take part in a future edition? If so, please get in touch with communications@sport.wales.
Hope Stagner - Daily Active Officer
- What’s your hidden talent? Apparently, I can make a good dolphin noise. PLEASE don't ask me to do it!
- Dream job growing up? When I was really little, I wanted to be a pirate because I loved the Matey bubble bath.
- What three items would you take with you to a deserted island and why? Maybe a swing ball for entertainment, water and mosquito repellent.
- List two things that annoy you… People dawdling when it's busy and loud eaters.
- What animal would you choose to be? Some sort of bird that lives near the ocean, somewhere tropical.
- You get to learn one skill with the click of your fingers, what is it? Either to wink or to whistle, I can't do either.
- You get to choose four famous people (dead or alive) to join you for dinner – who are you asking? Greg James, Sam Campbell, David Attenborough, and Harry Styles.
- Would you rather live in a world without music or films? A world without films. I don't seem to have the attention span for them, and I love how music can instantly change your mood.
- Happiness is… Being outdoors in the sun with good company and my dog.
- Guilty pleasure? Medical or police dramas. I really excel at binge-watching a series and eating giant wotsits.
- Favourite place? This is a tough one, but Three Cliffs Bay always makes me happy.
- If you could go back in time to be in the crowd at one sporting event in history, which would you choose? Maybe Usain Bolt's 100m World Record run at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
- Would you rather have the ability to fly or be invisible? Fly! I'm a sucker for a good view, plus I hate waiting in traffic; it's infuriating.
- What would be your ‘go to’ karaoke song? I’m not always one for the karaoke machine unless I'm really comfortable around people, but it's probably Grace Kelly, Mika.
- If you could be one sports star for a day, who would you be? Kat Matthews.
- How long have you worked at Sport Wales? Just under two months.
Ryan Speight - Project Coordinator

- Dream job growing up? A pilot in the Royal Air Force. They don’t take colourblind people, apparently!
- What three items would you take with you to a deserted island and why? A phone, water, and something to make a fire with - get me off that island!
